BoB CD Cook Book

When you folks that purchased the Cookbook on CD get a chance, will you please post on here whether or not the program works in your computer, whether or not the program is easy to navigate and whether or not it's something you would recommend for next year's charity auction.

Also, if you have any recommendations for improvements, that would be nice to know, too.

I really appreciate your thoughts.

Mine's just a pdf file - correct?

My CD didn't auto-launch - but I was able to navigate to the pdf file and view it with no problem Works great to me!

Both of my CD's blue screened my computer

I tried them in the other computer and it wouldn't even recognize the CD's to open them. (It didn't autolaunch, and while I could find them in the drive manually searching... they wouldn't open)

Oh, Gena, this makes me so sad. I wish I were more knowledgable about how these things work.

This is a .PDF file and I'm wondering if you have a current Adobe Reader program. I believe the one on my computer is Version 6. I tried the disks in many different computers before I offered them.

In any case, if they won't work - please return them to me for a refund. I do have the program in Microsoft Word - I could send them to you in that format if you could use it.

Thanks - Marian

Also, those little extra gifts are actually dishcloths, not hot pads - I would hate for someone to get burned trying to handle hot dishes with them.

Well my version is 8.1, the most recent.
I also have open office, for pdf's as well.

Problem is I don't even get that far. I put it in and my computer immediately locks up and then blue screens.

On the kids computer, it only goes as far as finding the disk, then nothing else.

I don't really want a refund since it is for charity though.

So if you would like to send the Word version, we can try that.

My disc works fine. Don't have time to explore it now.

Got mine today, put it in and it opened fine. Have only browsed the first couple pages, trying to get some invites ready to mail.

Will try it later on my old computer since it's in the dining/kitchen area and where i would be using it at.

Mine opened fine. Plenty of drooling material to keep us busy for quite some time.

Thank you so much for the surprise goodie. Gotta love surprises.

Okay, so I have computer that it will work on.

The 2nd one I bought is a gift. If it doesn't work on her computer, I can print her out a copy from mine.

Thanks!

I love it.

Thanks for letting me know it works, Gena! It puzzles me why it didn't work on yours.
