Question Newbie to selling on BoB Auctions...

I know I read somewhere about this question, but can't recall where. My question is this: what was the % of winning bid does the seller pay?

yup, 5%, but you can't actually pay it until your account balance gets to $5.

Right. I noticed that in another thread...did some research before I posted my question in case I found the answer to it. Thanks Linda. I guess my fees will be sitting there for some time before it reaches $5.

I believe I read somewhere that we CAN sell PL items that are RETIRED. This is true, right? If so, then I may be listing more than 2 items between now & the weekend!

Thanks Jinjin for the referral. These are items that I purchased long ago & either no longer want nor have room for them in our new house. Items I'm referring to here are items that are not brand new & have been used by me as displays in our home. I have a pair of pillars in a color that no longer fits w/our home. Never been lit. What would you suggest...?? TIA

You can sell the retired items on the BoB auction if you are no longer a PL consultant. If so, please include a line in your item description stating that you are not a PL consultant.

We strive to uphold the policy that the company has put in place. If a current consultant were to list a PL item, the auction would be removed.

There are some great ideas on selling old product. Try searching for cash and carry, or open houses in the Candle General forum.

I understand the policy.

I have tried several open houses & cash/carries & NO ONE WILL BUY!!! My DH wants to throw them out!!!! I don't want to see that happen!!!

If you just need them out of your house versus throwing them away...offer them in the Free BoB'in area...(can't remember the official name ) and offer them up for free - with the recipient paying for the shipping.

That is a thought for some of the smaller items...least expensive. However, there are bigger, more expensive items...thanks for the suggestion.

I'm confused about what you're asking.. I think you're asking about changing a title in a "draft" you've saved but not actually listed yet? I've not used that feature yet, BUT when you actually put it out to list....you can then go in to the edit feature and change anything you want - including the title.

Thanks! You understood perfectly! Actually, I did find that out when I "finally" clicked on "list". It goes thru the steps one more time...! Thanks for that feature! I just listed my very 1st auction on BoB Auction. Kinda nervous...

Under the selling tab, it shows what's going on with your auctions & such. Well, under "drafts", it says I have 3 but when I click on the link for "drafts", it's empty.
Selling Totals Sold Items: 0 Open: 1 Items with Bids/Offers: 0 Scheduled: 0 Closed: 0 Drafts: 3

did you lose something? Is there supposed to be something in drafts?

Unless you are looking for an auction you saved, I wouldn't worry about it, if there's not supposed to be something there anyway.
